The purpose of this amendment is to address the changes to Section 581.083, F.S., regarding the cultivation and transport of non-native plants, algae and blue-green algae in plantings greater than two acres and update forms and other minor editorial revisions within the rule chapter. The effect is to improve the permitting process associated with the introduction or release of plant pests, noxious weeds, arthropods and biological control agents. The reflected changes will reduce regulatory burden without compromising plant protection duties and responsibilities assigned by Florida Statutes.
