The new language distinguishes between Temporary special duties – general and Temporary special duties – absent coworker pay additives; recognizes that the Legislature through the General Appropriations Act provides authority for the provision of the Temporary special duties – general pay additive; provides that any new or adjustments to existing competitive area differential or critical market pay additives require approval by the Legislature; and streamlines the process for approving additives by allowing agencies to plan for and provide pay additives within guidelines established by DMS and directions provided by the Legislature through the General Appropriations Act.
