Recharge well (RW-1) will be constructed at the Flatford Swamp in Manatee County, Florida, to investigate the feasibility of recharging excess natural surface water into the upper Floridan aquifer during wet weather flows and anthropogenic dry season flows to aid in the recovery of aquifer water levels and, to the extent practical, restore the natural hydroperiod of the swamp.
