The 2019 Florida Legislature established Chapter 2019-122, Laws of Florida, revising the criteria that the Department must consider in determining and assigning annual funding priorities for beach management and erosion control projects, and revising certain statutory provisions that the Department must consider with respect to managing inlets. To that end, the Department is amending Chapter 62B-36, F.A.C., to reflect those statutory changes. Revisions to the rule chapter necessitated by Sections 1 and 4 of Chapter 2019-122, Laws of Florida, will have a delayed effective date of July 1, 2020, as provided by the legislation.
