15B-14. Light Transmittance Measuring Devices |
1(1) All light transmittance measuring devices to be used in obtaining evidence of noncompliance of light transmittance tolerances pursuant to Sections 22316.2951 23‒ 24316.2954, F.S., 26for use in any court in the State of Florida 36shall, as a minimum, meet the requirements of this rule before being approved by the Department.
52(2) Manufacturers of light transmittance measuring devices shall submit an original report by an independent testing laboratory qualified to do business in Florida certifying that each model performs to factory specifications.
83(3) The report shall be submitted to the Bureau of Law Enforcement Support Services, Division of Florida Highway Patrol, Neil Kirkman Building, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-0500. A letter of approval or a copy thereof, issued on the Department’s letterhead by the Bureau of Law Enforcement Support Services shall constitute approval of the particular device for use in this State.
