29F. East Central Florida Regional Planning Council |
29F-1. Organization |
1(1) To exercise the rights, duties, and powers of a regional planning council as defined in Chapter 186 and Section 21403.723, F.S., 23and of a regional planning agency as defined in Chapters 23 and 380 and Section 38403.723, F.S., 40as amended, including those functions enumerated by legislative finding and declarations of Chapter 186, F.S., and other applicable federal, State and local laws.
63(2) To provide regional coordination for the local governments in the East Central Florida Region.
78(3) To exchange, interchange, and review the various programs referred to it that are of regional concern.
95(4) To promote communication among local governments, public agencies and the private and nonprofit sectors in the Region.
113(5) To identify regional problems and issues and work toward their resolution.
125(6) To ensure the orderly and balanced growth and development of this Region, consistent with the protection of the natural resources and environment of the Region, and to promote safety, welfare and quality of life of the residents of the Region.
166(7) To encourage and promote communications between neighboring regional planning districts in an attempt to ensure compatibility in development and long-range planning goals.
