Effective on Wednesday, September 13, 1995
  • 1Tampa Bay Water mitigate complaints regarding surface water alterations affecting livestock ranching operations in the vicinity of public supply wellfields managed by Tampa Bay Water where such alterations may be due, in part, to Tampa Bay Water wellfield operations as determined by an investigation of site-specific conditions to be conducted by Tampa Bay Water; provided, such mitigative actions are consistent with the Southwest Florida Water Management District’s rules and applicable water use permit. Mitigative actions to be undertaken by Tampa Bay Water will be limited to installation of, or reimbursement for, livestock watering systems generally comprised of 4-inch diameter wells, submersible pumps, appurtenant pipes, control devices, and water troughs. The area of investigation shall lie within the predicted three foot water-table drawdown contour at steady-state conditions for the permitted average daily production from the nearest Tampa Bay Water facility, or facilities in the case of complaints received within an inter-wellfield area. Tampa Bay Water’s most current calibrated groundwater flow models will be utilized in this investigation.
