  • 1(1) How to Play 5PICK 47™.

    8(a) 9PICK 4 11is a 13Draw 14lottery game (also known as an online lottery game) 23in which a player select28s 29any 30four31-32digit number from 0000 through 9999 inclusive. The digits may be the same, 45different 46or combination thereof; 49for example, 1111, 521213, 53and 541234 55are all valid selections. 59A player 61select62s 63only two digits in a Front Pair, Mid Pair 72or 73Back Pair play as further described in subparagraphs (1)(g)5., 6., and 7., below.

    86(b) Players may choose play amounts of $.50 or $1.00 per play, per drawing.

    100(c) Players may make their 105PICK 4 107ticket selections by marking a play slip or by telling the retailer their desired selections.

    1221. There are five panels on a play slip. Players electing to use a play slip to make their 141PICK 4 143ticket selections must mark 147one 148number 149in each 151column or 153mark the Quick Pick 157(158QP159) 160box located at the bottom of each panel for the terminal to randomly select one or more of the 179numbers for each panel played. 184The player may also mark the play type, draw time and play amount; however, if the play type, play amount, or draw time is not marked by the player, the terminal will default to a $1.00 straight play for the next available draw. 227A “Void” box is also located at the bottom of each panel and should be marked by the player if an error was made in his or her selections in a panel. Players may mark the $5 “Quick Picks” box to receive five $1.00 tickets each with one set of four randomly selected numbers (straight play) for the next 286PICK 4 288drawing, or may mark the $10 “Quick Picks” box to receive ten $1.00 tick302ets, each with one set of four 309randomly selected numbers (straight play) for the next available 318PICK 4 320drawing. Players may mark Quick Picks in addition to panel plays. 331Players must use only blue or black ink or pencil for making selections. 344The use of mechanical, electronic, computer generated or any other non-manual method of marking 358p359lay 360s361lips is prohibited. Play slips may be processed through a Florida Lottery full service vending machine or processed by a Florida Lottery retailer to obtain a ticket.

    3882. 389Retailers also are authorized to manually enter numbers selected by a player. 401Players electing to make their 406PICK 4 408ticket selections by telling the retailer 414must 415specify the play type, draw time, play amount, and their desired number selections (or tell the retailer they desire to use the quick pick feature for the terminal to randomly sele446ct one or more of the numbers).

    453(d) A player who selects the combo play type and who elects to use the quick pick feature will not be able to select the total cost of the ticket.  The total cost will be determined by whether the quick pick numbers selected by the terminal comprise a 4-way combo, 6-way combo, 12-way combo, or 24-way combo play type as described below.

    515(e) A player who selects the box play type or the straight/box play type and who elects to use the quick pick feature will not be able to select the type of box play. The type of box play will be determined by whether the quick pick numbers selected by the terminal comprise a 4-way box, 6-way box, 12-way box, or 24-way box combination as described in paragraph (1)(g), 584below.

    585(f) Players may play future consecutive midday, evening, or both drawings within a fourteen599-600day period or non-consecutive drawings within a seven-day period by using the “advance play” feature. To use the advance play feature, players may either mark the play slip or tell the retailer the advance play selections and draw times they desire. For purposes of this paragraph (1)(f), both a fourteen-day and a seven-day period begin on the date of the next available 662PICK 4 664drawing for the draw time selected and continue through the next thirteen/six consecutive days for the draw time selected.  The advance play options are described more fully in subparagraphs 1 694and 6952, 696below.

    6971. Advance Play by Play Slip. Advance play selections made on a play slip are for consecutive drawings for the draw time(s) selected only. Players shall mark the 725desired number 727of consecutive drawings in the “Days” section and the desired draw time(s) in the “Draw Time” section of the play slip. The number of consecutive drawings marked will include the next available drawing for the draw time(s) selected and will apply to each panel (A-E) played. Advance play does not apply to 779selections in the 782Quick Picks 784box785.

    786a. If the midday (MID) box is selected, the ticket will be entered into the next available midday draw and consecutive midday draws through the selected number of days.

    815b. If the evening (EVE) box is selected, the ticket will be entered into the next available evening draw and consecutive evening draws through the selected number of days.

    844c. If the both (BOTH) box is selected, the ticket will be entered into the next available draw and consecutive midday and evening draws through the selected number of days.

    8742. Advance Play by Telling the Retailer. Players shall specify to the retailer their desired selections in one (1) of the following advance play parameters:

    899a. Any single day for the d906raw time(s) selected in a seven912-day period;

    914b. Any two non-consecutive days for the d922raw time(s) selected in a seven928-day period;

    930c. Any two 933or more consecutive days for the d940raw time(s) selected in a seven946-day period, not including the next available drawing.

    954d. Up to fourteen consecutive days for the draw times selected, including the next available drawing.

    970In the event that a planned change in the 979PICK 4 981game requires that the number of advance plays available for purchase be reduced to zero before implementation of the change, an advance play countdown schedule will be posted on the 1011Florida 1012Lottery’s website.

    1014(g) 1015PICK 4 1017can be played and won as follows:

    10241. "Straight" play. In a straight play, if a player10341035s digits 1037as printed on the player’s ticket match, 1044in exact order, 1047the official PICK 4 winning numbers for the drawing, 1056the player wins $2,500 for a 50-cent play or $5,000 for a $1.00 play.

    10722. 10731074Box1075 1076play. A box play allows a player to win if the player's 1088digits 1089match, 1090in any order, 1093the official PICK 4 winning numbers for the drawing1102.

    1103a. A 110511064-way box1108 1109is a play in which the player has selected a number with three identical digits 1124and one different digit (example 1113011113121132) 1133and 1134covers the four possible combinations of the four digits. A 4-way box 1146pays a winner $599 for a 50-cent play or $1,198 for a $1.00 play.

    1161b. A 116311646-way box1166 1167is a play in which the player has selected a number with 1179two different 1181pairs of 1183identical 1184digits 1185(example 111871211882) 1189and covers the six possible combinations of the four digits1199. A 6-way box 1203pays a winner $400 for a 50-cent play or $800 for a $1.00 play.

    1217c. A 1219122012-way box1222 1223is a play in which the player has selected a number with 1235two identical 1237digits 1238and 1239two different digits (example 11212443) 1245and 1246covers the twelve possible combinations of the four digits. 1255A 12-way box 1258pays a winner $200 for a 50-cent play or $400 for a $1.00 play.

    1272d. A 1274127524-way box1277 1278is a play in which the player has selected a number with four 1291different 1292digits 1293(example 1129523129641297) and 1299covers the twenty-1302four possible combinations of the four digits.  A 24-way box 1312pays a winner $100 for a 50-cent play or $200 for a $1.00 play.

    13263. “Straight and Box” play. A straight and box play combines a 50-cent straight play and a 50-cent box play for a $1.00 play.

    1350a. A “Straight and 4-way box” play pays a winner $3,099 if a player’s digits 1366as printed on the player’s ticket match, in exact order, the official PICK 4 winning numbers for the drawing, 1385or $599 if the player’s digits 1391m1392atch, 1393in any other order, 1397the official PICK 4 winning numbers for the drawing1406.

    1407b. A “Straight and 6-way box” play pays a winner $2,900 if a player’s digits 1423as printed on the player’s ticket match, 1430in exact order, 1433the official PICK 4 winning numbers for the drawing, 1442or $400 if the player’s digits 1448match, in 1450any other order, 1453the official PICK 4 winning numbers for the drawing1462.

    1463c. A “Straight and 12-way box” play pays a winner $2,700 if a player’s digits 1479as printed on the player’s ticket match, 1486in exact order, 1489the official PICK 4 winning numbers for the drawing, 1498or $200 if the player’s digits 1504match, 1505in any other order, 1509the official PICK 4 winning numbers for the drawing1518.

    1519d. A “Straight and 24-way box” play pays a winner $2,600 if a player’s digits 1535as printed on the player’s ticket match, 1542in exact order, 1545the official PICK 4 winning numbers for the drawing, 1554or $100 if the player’s digits 1560match, 1561in any other order, 1565the official PICK 4 winning numbers for the drawing.

    15744. “Combo” play. A combo is a play covering all straight combinations of a four-digit number and will cost $2.00 to $24.00 depending upon the amount played (50 cents or $1.00) and the number of like digits in the four-digit number selected.

    1616a. A “4-way combo” is a play in which the player has selected a number with three 1633i1634dentical digits. 1636The 4-way combo is comprised of 1642four straight play combinations; 1646for example, a 1649(165011121651) 16524-way combo covers the combinations 11658112, 16591121, 1211, and 2111 and pays a winner $2,500 for a $2.00 play or $5,000 for a $4.00 play.

    1680b. A “6-way combo” is a play in which the player has selected a number with two 1697different 1698pairs of digits. 1701The 6-way combo is comprised of six straight play combinations; 1711for example, 1713a 1714(171511221716) 17176-way combo covers the combinations 1122,1212, 1221, 2112, 2121, and 2211, and pays a winner $2,500 for a $3.00 play or $5,000 for a $6.00 play.

    1746c. A “12-way combo” is a play in which the player 1757has selected a number with two identical digits 1765and two different digits1769. 1770The 12-way combo is comprised of twelve straight play combinations; 1780for example, 1782a 1783(178411231785) 178612-way combo covers combinations 1123, 1132, 1213, 1231, 1312, 1321, 2113, 2131, 2311, 3112, 3121, and 3211, and pays a winner $2,500 for a $6.00 play or $5,000 for a $12.00 play.

    1820d. A 1822182324-way combo1825 1826is a play in which the player has selected a number with four unique digits. The 24-way combo is comprised of twenty-four straight play combinations; for example, a 1854(185512341856) 185724-way combo covers the combinations 1234, 1243, 1324, 1342, 1423, 1432, 2134, 2143, 2314, 2341, 2413, 2431, 3124, 3142, 3214, 3241, 3412, 3421, 4123, 4132, 4213, 4231, 4312, and 4321, and pays a winner $2,500 for a $12.00 play or $5,000 for a $24.00 play.

    19045. “Front Pair” play. A front pair play allows a player to select only two digits and pays $25.00 for a 50-cent play or $50.00 for a $1.00 play if the two digits as printed on the 1941player’s 1942ticket match, in exact order, the first two numbers 1951of the official PICK 4 winning numbers for the drawing1961.

    19626. “Mid Pair” play. A mid pair play allo1971ws a player to select only two 1978digits and pays $25.00 for a 50-cent play or $50.00 for a $1.00 play if the two digits as printed on the 2000player’s 2001ticket match, in exact order, the middle two numbers 2010of the official P2014ICK 20154 winning numbers for the drawing.

    20217. “Back Pair” play. A back pair play allows a player to select only two digits and pays $25.00 for a 50-cent play or $50.00 for a $1.00 play if the two digits as printed on the 2058player’s 2059ticket match, in exact order, the last two numbers 2068of the official P2072ICK 20734 winning numbers for the drawing2079.

    20808. “1-OFF2082®2083” play. 2085A 1-OFF play allows a player to win if the four-digit number chosen by the player matches, 2102in exact order, 2105the 2106official 2107PICK 4 2109winning numbers 2111for the drawing 2114(“straight win”) or if, 2118in exact order, 2121one, 2122two, three or 2125four of 2127the 2128digits are one number higher or lower than the official PICK 4 winning numbers for the drawing (“1-OFF win”). 2147A PICK 4 1-OFF ticket will contain the four-digit number (player-selected or Quick Pick) that qualifies for the straight win and a chart that shows the straight match and 2176corresponding 21771-OFF digits. 2179In PICK 21814, t2183here are a total of eighty 2189possible 21901-OFF combinations. 2192A $1.00 play pays 2196as follows2198:

    2298(h) 2299On occasion, increases in the prize amounts set forth in paragraph (1)(g), 2311above, 2312will be offered for promotional purposes. 2318In such event, the increased prize amounts will be available at flalottery.com, Lottery district offices and retailer locations.

    2336(i) A liability limit of $23427 2343million is established for 2347PICK 42349. When the play of a particular four2357-2358digit number for a drawing reaches the 2365Florida 2366Lottery’s 2367PICK 4 2369liability limit of $23737 2374million, no further ticket sales for any type of play that would involve that four2389-2390digit number will be allowed for that drawing.

    2398(2) 2399PICK 4 2401Drawings.

    2402(a) 2403PICK 4 2405drawings are conducted twice daily.

    2410(b) The equipment shall be configured so that one ball is drawn from each of four units of balls numbered zero 2431(0) 2432through nine 2434(9)2435.

    2436(c) Four balls will be selected in the drawing, one each into four separate display devices. The numbers shown on the four balls, after certification by the Draw Manager and the Accountant, shall be the official winning numbers for the drawing.

    2477(d) The Florida Lottery shall not be responsible for incorrect circulation, publication or broadcast of official 2493winning numbers.

    2677(4) 2678PICK 4 2680Rules and Prohibitions.

    2683(a) By purchasing a 2687PICK 4 2689ticket a player agrees to comply with and abide by all rules and regulations of the Florida Lottery.

    2707(b) 2708PICK 4 2710prize payments shall be made in accordance with rules of the Florida Lottery governing payment of prizes. A copy of the current rule can be obtained from the Florida Lottery, Office of the General Counsel, 250 Marriott Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-4011.

    2751(c) Subject to a retailer’s hours of operation and on-line system availability, 2763PICK 4 2765lottery tickets are available for purchase daily between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and midnight, Eastern Time (ET).

    2783(d) The scheduled time for the daily 2790PICK 4 2792drawing is approximately 1:30 p.m. 2797(2798ET2799) 2800for the midday draw and 2805approximately 28069:45 2807p.m. 2808(2809ET2810) 2811for the evening draw. Ticket sales for a specific 2820PICK 4 2822drawing will close approximately ten minutes prior to that drawing. Any ticket sold after the close of game will be printed with the next available 2847PICK 4 2849draw date and time unless the player specifies another 2858PICK 4 2860draw date and time within the selection parameters.

    2868(e) Retailer cancellations of 2872PICK 4 2874tickets can only be performed by the retailer who sold the ticket, using the selling terminal’s optical mark reader, and within two hours after printing, except that n2902o 2903PICK 4 2905ticket shall be cancel2909ed after close of game for the related drawing. The two2920-2921hour ticket cancellation period may be reduced due to the selling retailer’s hours of business operation, the hours of on-line system availability, or the time of the related 2949PICK 4 2951close of game.

    2954(f) It is the 2958player’s 2959responsibility to 2961make sure his or her ticket(s) are printed exactly as requested before leaving the retailer and to 2978determine the accuracy of the selected panels of numbers, draw date(s), draw time(s) and play types on tickets. In the event that a ticket given to the player by the retailer contains selections that are not consistent with the player’s selections, it shall be the responsibility of the player to immediately advise the retailer of that fact. In such event and upon request of a player, the retailer shall make a good faith effort to cancel the ticket. A retailer is not required to cancel a ticket produced upon request of a player by the “quick pick” method of number selection.
