53ER21-46. Game Number 7018, STRUCK BY LUCK (Replaced by 53ER23-6)

(1) Name of Game. Game Number 7018, STRUCK BY LUCK.

(2) Game Number 7018, STRUCK BY LUCK is a Scratch-Off lottery game (also known as an instant lottery game).

(3) Price. STRUCK BY LUCK lottery tickets sell for $10.00 per ticket.

(4) STRUCK BY LUCK lottery tickets shall have a series of numbers in machine readable code (or bar code) on the back of the ticket, along with a validation number under the latex area on the ticket. To be a valid winning STRUCK BY LUCK lottery ticket, the ticket must meet the applicable requirements of Rule 53ER21-34, Payment of Prizes, F.A.C.

(9) Determination of Prizewinners.

(a) A ticket having a play symbol and corresponding play symbol caption in the YOUR NUMBERS play area that matches a play symbol and corresponding play symbol caption in the WINNING NUMBERS play area shall entitle the prizewinner to the corresponding prize shown for that symbol.

(b) A ticket having a symbol in the YOUR NUMBERS play area shall entitle the prizewinner to double the prize shown for that symbol.

(c) A ticket having a symbol in the YOUR NUMBERS play area shall entitle the prizewinner to five times the prize shown for that symbol.

(d) A ticket having a symbol in the YOUR NUMBERS play area shall entitle the prizewinner to ten times the prize shown for that symbol.

(e) A ticket having a symbol in the YOUR NUMBERS play area shall entitle the prizewinner to all fifteen prizes shown in the play area.

(f) A ticket having a symbol in the YOUR NUMBERS play area shall entitle the prizewinner to the STORM prize amount revealed by:

1. Downloading and playing the interactive game on the STRUCK BY LUCK App; or

2. Visiting the STRUCK BY LUCK microsite through flalottery.com/struckbyluck and playing the interactive game; or

3. Scanning the ticket using the Florida Lottery’s App or the self-ticket checker feature available at retailers; or

4. Presenting the ticket for validation on the terminal at a Lottery retailer or Lottery office.

(g) A ticket having a and in the YOUR NUMBERS play area shall entitle the prizewinner to a prize of the progressive jackpot (“jackpot”).

1. Progressive Jackpot. The progressive jackpot starting amount is $5,000 and as STRUCK BY LUCK ticket sales increase, the jackpot amount will also increase up to a maximum of $75,000. There are two jackpot periods:

a. Period 1 ‒ 11:30:00 p.m. (ET) through 1:59:59 p.m. (ET); and

b. Period 2 ‒ 2:00:00 p.m. (ET) through 11:29:29 p.m. (ET).

The jackpot will be updated at the end of each Period, at 2:00 p.m. (ET) and at 11:30 p.m. (ET), and shall increase at each update until a winning jackpot ticket is validated, or until the jackpot reaches the maximum value. Once a winning jackpot ticket is validated, the jackpot shall be updated and reset to the starting amount at the beginning of the next period.

2. Progressive Jackpot Prize Determination.

a. A prizewinner may choose when to validate his or her ticket to “lock in” the current jackpot amount by validating the ticket at a retailer or the prizewinner may wait for the jackpot to grow larger. A jackpot prize winner shall be entitled to a prize of the amount of the jackpot at the time the ticket is validated on the terminal at a Lottery retailer or Lottery office. A jackpot prize cannot be locked in by any means other than through validation of the jackpot winning ticket on the terminal at a Lottery retailer or Lottery office. If multiple jackpot winning tickets are validated in the same jackpot period, the prizewinner of each ticket shall be entitled to the full amount of the jackpot for that jackpot period. Once a jackpot winning ticket is validated and that jackpot period concludes, the jackpot will be reset to $5,000. Once a jackpot winning ticket is validated, the amount locked in by a jackpot prize winner shall be final. Examples follow:

(i) In Scenerio 1, the current jackpot amount in Period 1 is $50,000 and Player X and Player Y both have jackpot winning tickets. Both players choose to validate their jackpot winning tickets during Period 1 and lock in the current jackpot amount. Period 1 concludes, and Player X and Player Y each win a jackpot prize of $50,000.

(ii) In Scenerio 2, the current jackpot amount in Period 1 is $50,000 and Player X and Player Y both have jackpot winning tickets. Player X chooses to validate his or her jackpot winning ticket early into Period 1 and locks in the current jackpot amount. Player Y does not know that Player X has validated his or her jackpot winning ticket and chooses to wait to see if the jackpot will grow in one or more subsequent jackpot periods before validating his or her jackpot winning ticket. Period 1 concludes, and Player X is the sole winner of the jackpot prize of $50,000. Player X’s ticket validation triggers the jackpot amount to be reset to $5,000 at the beginning of Period 2.

b. All winning STRUCK BY LUCK tickets must be submitted for validation or before the 60th calendar day after the offical STRUCK BY LUCK end of game. For any prizewinner who validates his or her jackpot winning ticket during the period of the day after the end of game through the claiming deadline, the prizewinner or prizewinners will each win the full amount of the jackpot as of the Period 2 update on the end of game date. All jackpot prizes shall be paid in a single cash payment, less applicable federal income tax withholding.

c. In the event of a discrepancy between the advertised jackpot prize amount and the jackpot prize amount recorded in the official records of the Lottery at the time a jackpot prize ticket is validated on a terminal at a Lottery retailer or Lottery Office, the amount recorded in the official records of the Lottery shall be controlling.

(h) A player may win up to fifteen times on a ticket.

(10) Interactive Game. To use the interactive features associated with the STRUCK BY LUCK game, players may download the STRUCK BY LUCK app (“app”) from the App Store, Google Play, or by using a QR Code found on STRUCK BY LUCK marketing materials; or may visit the STRUCK BY LUCK microsite through flalottery.com/struckbyluck. Players can play the interactive game to reveal STORM prizes, view the current progressive jackpot level, share wins, view a map of winners, and get notifications of recent wins. Players will be prompted to opt-in or opt-out of sharing location data. Jackpot winners and other prizewinners with tickets valued at $600 or more will also receive claiming instruction messaging. The validation barcode and the ticket number and Entry Code are located on the front of STRUCK BY LUCK tickets. Scratch the bottom of the play area to reveal the barcode, ticket number and 10-digit Entry Code that includes a 3 digit PIN in the numbers surrounded by a box. If using the Struck by Luck app to play, scan the validation barcode. If using the website, enter the ticket number and 10-digit Entry Code. Players can replay the interactive game to reveal any winnings, however, the outcome will not change if the same ticket is used. Using the app or microsite is not required to play or win.

(11) $1,000,000 Top Prize Payment Options.

(a) A winner of a $1,000,000 top prize may choose one of two payment options for receiving his or her prize. Payment options are Cash Option or Annual Payment. At the time, the $1,000,000 top prize is claimed, the terminal will produce a player claim instructions ticket. The winner has sixty (60) days after the date the player claim instructions ticket is produced to file a claim choosing the Cash Option. Once the winner files a claim and exercises the winner’s chosen option, the election of that option shall be final. The Annual Payment method of payment will also be final when it is applied due to a top prize winner not making his or her payment election within sixty (60) days after the player claim instructions ticket is produced.

(b) Cash Option prizes will be paid in a single cash payment. A winner of a $1,000,000 top prize who elects the Cash Option shall receive a single cash payment of $880,000, less applicable federal income tax withholding.

(c) Annual Payment prizes will be paid in twenty-five (25) equal annual installments. A winner of a $1,000,000 top prize who elects the Annual Payment option, or who has had the Annual Payment option applied as described in paragraph (11)(a) above, shall receive annual installments of $40,000 per year, less applicable federal tax withholding.

(13) The overall odds of winning some prize in Game Number 7018 are 1 in 3.37. Prizes, including the top prizes, are subject to availability at the time of ticket purchase. Prizes may be unavailable due to prior sales or other causes occurring in the normal course of business including, but not limited to, ticket damage, defect, theft, or loss.

(14) For reorders of Game Number 7018, the odds of winning, value, and number of prizes shall be proportionate to the number of tickets reordered.

(15) Payment of prizes for STRUCK BY LUCK lottery tickets shall be made in accordance with the rule of the Florida Lottery governing payment of prizes. A copy of the current rule can be obtained from the Florida Lottery, Office of the General Counsel, 250 Marriott Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-4011.
