5B-38.001. Definitions

1For the purpose of this chapter, the definitions in Section 11581.011, F.S., 13and the following definitions shall apply:

19(1) “Lettuce” means plants and plant parts of 27Lactuca sativa29.

30(2) “Lettuce mosaic” means a seed-borne and insect-transmitted virus disease affecting lettuce.

42(3) “Person” means individuals, children, firms, associations, joint adventures, partnerships, estates, trusts, business trusts, syndicates, fiduciaries, corporations, and all other groups or combinations.

65(4) “Regulated article” means lettuce mosaic virus, lettuce seeds, and lettuce plants.
