5J-12. Motor Vehicle Repair Act |
1(1) If the ownership of a particular location where motor vehicle repair is performed is changed:
17(a) The new owner shall be considered a new motor vehicle repair shop, and shall be required to register pursuant to Section 39559.904, F.S.
41(b) The current owner shall notify the Department of such changes within 15 business days by submitting to the Department the following:
631. Written correspondence from the registrant giving notice of the change in ownership; and
772. The original current registration certificate which was issued to the registrant.
89(2) If the particular location where the motor vehicle repair shop performs motor vehicle repair is changed, or if the name of the motor vehicle repair shop is changed, without changing ownership, the registrant shall provide to the Department within 15 business days the following:
134(a) Written correspondence from the registrant giving notice of the change in location or name; and
150(b) The original current registration certificate which was issued to the registrant.
