5E-2.027. Nonagricultural Chemicals Subject to Penalty

  • 1The pesticides subject to a penalty when found to be ineffective under the provisions of Section 17487.091(3), F.S., 19shall be only those nonagricultural chemicals making specific antimicrobial label claims of effectiveness on inanimate surfaces against bacteria, fungi, and viruses. This shall include the following classes of antimicrobial products:

    49(1) Chlorine and chlorine compounds,

    54(2) Iodine and iodine compounds,

    59(3) Phenolic compounds,

    62(4) Bis-phenols,

    64(5) Salicylanilides and carbanilides,

    68(6) Alcohols,

    70(7) Acid-anionic surface-active sanitizers,

    74(8) Quaternary ammonium disinfectants,

    78(9) Amphoteric surfactant disinfectants,

    82(10) Mercurials – inorganic and organic,

    88(11) Silver and its compounds, and

    94(12) Any other compound presently registered with antimicrobial claims by the United States Environmental Protection Agency or the department.
