5G-3. Florida Uniform Standards For Grades Of Florida Grown Fresh Tomatoes |
1(1) “Florida No. 1” consists of tomatoes which meet the following requirements:
13(a) Basic requirements:
161. Similar varietal characteristics;
202. Mature;
223. Not overripe or soft;
274. Clean;
295. Well developed;
326. Fairly well formed; and
377. Fairly smooth.
40(b) Free from:
431. Decay;
452. Freezing injury; and
493. Sunscald.
51(c) Not damaged by any other cause.
58(d) For tolerances see subsection 635G-3.005(1), 64F.A.C.
65(2) “Florida Combination” consists of a combination of Florida No. 1 and Florida No. 2 Tomatoes, provided that at least 60 percent, by count, meet the requirements of Florida No. 1 grade. For tolerances see subsection 1015G-3.005(2), 102F.A.C.
103(3) “Florida No. 2” consists of tomatoes which meet the following requirements:
115(a) Basic requirements:
1181. Similar varietal characteristics;
1222. Mature;
1243. Not overripe or soft;
1294. Clean;
1315. Well developed;
1346. Reasonably well formed; and
1397. Not more than slightly rough.
145(b) Free from:
1481. Decay;
1502. Freezing injury; and
1543. Sunscald.
156(c) Not seriously damaged by any other cause.
164(d) For tolerances see subsection 1695G-3.005(3), 170F.A.C.
171(4) “Florida No. 3” consists of tomatoes which meet the following requirements:
183(a) Basic requirements:
1861. Similar varietal characteristics;
1902. Mature;
1923. Not overripe or soft;
1974. Clean;
1995. Well developed; and
2036. May be misshapen.
207(b) Free from:
2101. Decay; and
2132. Freezing injury.
216(c) Not seriously damaged by sunscald.
222(d) Not very seriously damaged by any other cause.
