60FF-3.003. Modifications, Additions, Reductions or Terminations to Existing SUNCOM Service Initiated by the Department

  • 1(1) The Department shall initiate changes or suspend a Customer’s SUNCOM service based on any of the following reasons:

    20(a) Discontinuation of a service offering by the Department.

    29(b) Lack of usage of the service by the Customer.

    39(c) The provision of the service is not a cost-effective solution for the Customer, the Department or the State.

    58(d) A change to the service is required to maintain its compliance with appropriate technical specifications and procedures as outlined in the Portfolio of Services.

    83(e) A change to the service is required because the service offering has changed.

    97(f) The SUNCOM Provider supplying the service has changed.

    106(g) Violation of a security standard, as specified in Rules 60FF-3.004-.006, F.A.C.

    118(h) The Customer is no longer eligible for SUNCOM Services in accordance with Sections 282.703-.707, F.S.

    134(i) The Customer fails to pay for SUNCOM Services as described in subsection 14760FF-2.005(3), 148F.A.C.

    149(2) When a change to a Customer’s service is required, the Department shall notify the Customer of required changes to the Customer’s service. If the Customer disputes the basis for the change or wishes to request an extension, the Customer shall respond within 30 days from such notice, with a written  request to justify why the Department should not make the proposed change to the Customer’s service.

    216(a) If the Department denies the request, the Department shall enter the change into the CSAB System on behalf of the Customer and provide notification of its action to the Customer.

    247(b) If no response from the Customer is received by the Department within the 30-day period, the Department shall enter the change into the CSAB System on behalf of the Customer and provide notification of its action to the Customer.

    287(3) The terms of the applicable contract for the SUNCOM service shall be the basis for the Department’s notice obligation to vendors when requesting a change to a service.  If the applicable contract fails to address these notice obligations:

    326(a) Discontinuance of services shall be implemented within one day from the date a request from the Department is issued.

    346(b) Modifications requiring no physical actions other than electronic changes implemented through remote devices or databases shall be implemented within one day from the date a request from the Department is issued.

    378(c) Modifications requiring physical actions shall be implemented within thirty (30) days from the date a request from the Department is issued.
