60Y-11. Prohibition Against Retaliating Against Employees Who Disclose Information To An Appropriate Agency Under The "whistle-Blower's Act" |
1These rules implement the statutory provisions which make it unlawful for any agency or independent contractor to take retaliatory action against an employee who reports to an appropriate agency violations of law on the part of a public employer or independent contractor under Sections 112.3187-.31895, F.S., inclusive; also known as the “Whistle-blower’s Act.” The Florida Whistle-blower’s Act authorizes the Commission on Human Relations to investigate complaints of retaliation against state employees who disclosed information pursuant to the “Whistle-blower’s Act” and provides for relief by administrative proceeding or civil action in court.
