61J1-2.0045. Exemption of Members of Armed Forces from Renewal Provisions
Effective on Monday, December 4, 2006
1Any member of the Armed Forces of the United States now or hereafter on active duty who, at the time of becoming such member, was a certified appraiser in good standing with the Florida Real Estate Appraisal board (Board) and was entitled to practice or engage in real estate appraising in the state shall be kept in good standing by the Board, without registering, paying dues or fees, or performing any other act on his or her part to be performed, provided he or she is not engaged in his or her licensed profession or vocation in the private sector for profit. However, all certified or licensed appraisers must complete all necessary continuing education requirements within 180 days after being discharged from active military duty with the United States Armed Forces.
