62-560. Requirements For Public Water Systems That Are Out Of Compliance |
1(1) Community water systems that exceed the secondary maximum contaminant level for fluoride shall provide notice to:
18(a) All billing units annually;
23(b) All new hookups or new billing units before or at the time service begins; and
39(c) The State Public Health Officer.
45(2) The notice shall contain the standard language found in the July 1, 2011, edition of 6140 C.F.R. §141.208(c), 64(65http://www.flrules.org/Gateway/reference.asp?No=Ref-0088867), adopted herein by reference.
72(3) The notice shall also contain a clear, concise description of the failure, the steps being taken to comply, and the telephone number of the supplier of water or his designee who may provide additional information concerning the situation.
111(4) Notice by Department on behalf of the public water system.
122(a) 123The Department may give the notice required by Chapters 62-550 and 62-560, F.A.C., on behalf of the owner and operator of the public water system if the Department complies with the applicable public notification requirements. 158(15940 C.F.R. 161§141.210(a) revised as of July 1, 2015, which is incorporated by reference in paragraph 17562-560.410(12)(a), 176F.A.C.).
177(b) The owner or operator of the public water system remains responsible for ensuring that the public notification requirements of Chapters 62-550 and 62-560, F.A.C., are met.
