62-604.100. Applicability  


Effective on Monday, October 4, 2021
  • 1(1) These rules are intended to assure that all waters of the state shall be free from components of wastewater discharges which, alone or in combination with other substances, are acutely toxic; are present in concentrations which are carcinogenic, mutagenic, or teratogenic to humans, animals, or aquatic species; or otherwise pose a serious threat to the public health, safety, and welfare.

    62(2) As appropriate, Chapter 62-604, F.A.C., shall be used in conjunction with other Department rules relating to the design and operation and maintenance of domestic wastewater collection/transmission systems.

    90(3) Requirements in this rule shall apply to both public and private domestic wastewater collection/transmission systems.

    106(4) Requirements in this chapter do not apply to reclaimed water distribution lines. Requirements for permitting, design and construction of reclaimed water distribution systems are in Chapter 62-610, F.A.C., and Chapter 62-620, F.A.C.

    139(5) Specific activities required to obtain a permit are in Rule 15062-604.600, 151F.A.C.

    152(6) Individual service connections from single family residences are not required to be permitted by the Department.
