64B16-27.105. Transfer of Prescriptions  


Effective on Thursday, October 8, 2015
  • 1(1) A pharmacist or registered pharmacy intern acting under the direct personal supervision of a Florida registered pharmacist may transfer a valid prescription which is on file in another pharmacy in this state or any other state if such transfer is consistent with the conditions set forth in Section 50465.026, F.S. 52Prior to dispensing, the pharmacist or pharmacy where the prescription is on file shall be notified verbally, or by any electronic means that the former prescription must be voided.

    81(2) In processing a transferred prescription pursuant to Section 90465.026, F.S., 92the pharmacist has the option of substituting a generically equivalent product if such substitution is consistent with the provisions of Section 113465.025, F.S.
