64B8-40. Dietetics And Nutrition Practice Council - Organization, Procedures, And General Provisions |
1(1) Pursuant to section 5468.506, F.S., 7the Board delegates to the Council the following powers and duties:
18(a) Approval and denial of dietitian/nutritionist by endorsement or examination and certification of nutrition counselor by employment status as of April 1, 1988.
41(b) Issuance and denial of temporary permits to applicants for endorsement or examination.
54(c) Approval and denial of requests for exemption from employment disqualification pursuant to section 68435.07, 69Florida Statutes.
71(d) Approval and denial of continuing education programs and providers of continuing education programs in dietetics and nutrition practice.
90(2) Rulemaking proposals, petitions for declaratory statement and petitions to adopt, amend or repeal rules which relate to dietetics and nutrition practice and nutrition counseling and assessment shall be presented to the Council. The Council shall consider the matter and make recommendations to the Board as to the appropriate action to be taken.
