64C-7. Prenatal And Postnatal Risk Screening And Infant Screening For Metabolic, Hereditary, And Congenital Disorders |
1(1) Within 35 4calendar 5days after receipt of a specimen, the 12State Public Health Laboratory 16shall send a written report of the results of all 26newborn screening 28tests to the 31submitting entity33. The report of the test results shall become part of the patient’s 46medical 47record.
48(2) The submitting entity must forward a copy of the newborn screening results to the ordering physician.
65(66367) If the 70State Public Health Laboratory 74determines that a specimen is unsatisfactory 80for testing, 82the 83L84aboratory shall immediately request a 89repeat 90specimen from the 93submitting entity95. The 97submitting entity 99shall offer facilities for collecting the blood sample.
