64E-5. Control Of Radiation Hazards |
1Upon the receipt of a license termination or decommissioning plan or a proposal for release of a site as specified in Rule 2364E-5.223 24or 2564E-5.224, 26F.A.C., and the total effective dose equivalent will exceed 50 millirem (0.5 mSv), the department shall:
42(1) Notify and solicit comments from:
48(a) Local and other state governments in the vicinity of the site and any Indian Nation or other indigenous people that could be affected by the decommissioning; and
76(b) The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency if the licensee proposes to release a site as specified in Rule 9564E-5.224, 96F.A.C.
97(2) Publish a notice in the Florida Administrative Weekly to solicit comments from affected parties.
