1Recognizing the importance and benefits of inland navigation channels and waterways, as well as noting problems associated with the construction, continued maintenance and use of these waterways, the Florida Legislature created Section 33374.976, F.S.35This law authorizes and empowers each inland navigation district to undertake programs intended to alleviate the problems associated with its waterways. The purpose of this rule is to set forth the District’s policies and procedures for the implementation of an assistance program under Section 79374.976, F.S., 81for state agencies operating within the District. This program will be known hereafter as the Florida Inland Navigation District’s Cooperative Assistance Program.
