1The Florida Inland Navigation District, as the designated state or local sponsor of the Atlantic Intracoastal, Intracoastal and a portion of the Okeechobee Waterway projects is required by congressional acts and by Section 374, F.S., to provide all lands, free of cost, required by the federal government for the construction, operation and maintenance of the waterway projects. The purpose of this rule is to set forth the procedures that the District will utilize to acquire the required lands when they are needed. This program will be known hereafter as the Florida Inland Navigation District’s Land Acquisition Program.
