68B-15.004. Prohibited Take

Effective on Sunday, September 1, 2013

1(1) A person may not harvest, take, harass, injure, or kill a sturgeon of the species 17Acipenser oxyrhynchus19.

20(2) This subsection will not be construed to prohibit unintentional injury of or contact with a sturgeon if it occurs in the course of normal fishing activities. A person who unintentionally catches a sturgeon shall immediately return the sturgeon to the water unharmed.
