69A-2.017. Transportation; Smokeless Propellants; Small Arms Ammunition Primers  


Effective on Tuesday, December 24, 1974
  • 1(1) Quantities of smokeless propellants in shipping containers approved by the Interstate Commerce Commission not in excess of 25 pounds may be transported in a passenger vehicle.

    28(2) Quantities of smokeless propellants in excess of 25 pounds but not exceeding 100 pounds in a passenger vehicle shall be transported in a portable box having wooden walls of at least 1 inch nominal thickness.

    64(3) Transportation of smokeless propellants in quantities in excess of 100 pounds is prohibited in passenger vehicles.

    81(4) Transportation of quantities of smokeless propellants in excess of 50 pounds in other than passenger vehicles shall be in accordance with Interstate Commerce Commission regulations, except that when more than 250 pounds are being transported, the vehicle shall be marked and placarded in accordance with subsection 12869A-2.014(2), 129F.A.C.

    130(5) Small Arms Ammunition Primers.

    135(a) Small arms ammunition primers shall not be transported or stored except in the original shipping container approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation (Formerly ICC Regulations).

    162(b) Truck or rail transportation of small arms ammunition primers shall be in accordance with the regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (Formerly ICC Regulations).

    188(c) Not more than 25,000 small arms ammunition primers shall be transported in a passenger vehicle.
