69B-150.201. Purpose

  • 1(1) The purpose of these rules is to provide small employers with clear and unambiguous statements in the marketing of health benefit plans issued pursuant to the Employee Health Care Access Act, as set forth in Section 38627.6699, 39Florida Statutes, and to assure the clear, truthful, and adequate disclosure of the benefits, limitations, and exclusions of policies or contracts sold as health benefit plans.

    65(2) This purpose is intended to be accomplished by the establishment of guidelines and standards of conduct in the marketing of health benefit plans to ensure that product descriptions are presented in a manner that prevents unfair, deceptive, and misleading marketing and is conducive to the accurate presentation and description of health benefit plans to small employers.
