69B-227.320. Curriculum Standards for Special Designation

  • 1Pursuant to Sections 4626.221(2) 5and 6626.7351, F.S., 8the Department of Financial Services establishes the following curriculum standards:

    18(1) Application process.

    21(a) An application for approval of a designation course curriculum must be submitted in accordance with the submission procedures in Rule 4269B-227.290, 43F.A.C.

    44(b) All course curriculum materials, other than outlines and study manuals prepared by the Department, must be submitted in accordance with the submission procedures in Rule 7069B-227.290, 71F.A.C.

    72(2) Requirements for designation curriculum.

    77(a) No course shall be taught unless its curriculum has been previously approved by the Department based on the requirements of this rule chapter.

    101(b) A comprehensive final examination covering the course content shall be given at the end of each course.

    119(c) All time used for the examination shall be in addition to the required course hours.

    135(d) Any change in an approved course curriculum must be submitted to the Department prior to being implemented.

    153(3) For any designation specified in Section 160626.7351, F.S., 162the requirement is at least 40 course hours covering all topics in the current customer representative Examination Content Outline found in Form DFS-H2-2130, which is incorporated by reference in Rule 19269B-227.290, 193F.A.C.

    194(4) For any designation specified in Section 201626.221(2)(j), F.S., 203the requirement is at least 40 course hours covering all topics in the 216current all-lines adjuster Examination Content Outline found in 224Form DFS-H2-2130, which is incorporated by reference in Rule 23369B-227.290, 234F.A.C.
