6A-4.03321. Specialization Requirements for Certification in Social Science (Grades 6-12) - Academic Class


Effective on Tuesday, July 1, 2003
  • 1(1) Plan One. A bachelor’s or higher degree with a major in social science, social studies, history, political science, geography, sociology, economics, or psychology.

    25(2) Plan Two. A bachelor’s or higher degree with thirty (30) semester hours in social science or social studies to include:

    46(a) Six (6) semester hours in United States history,

    55(b) Courses in the areas specified below:

    621. Western civilization or European history,

    682. Asian, African, Latin American, or Middle Eastern history,

    773. Economics,

    794. United States federal government,

    845. Geography, and

    876. Sociology or psychology.
