PURPOSE AND EFFECT: This rulemaking will address changes that the Florida Legislature made during the 2011, 2013 and 2014 legislative sessions to Sections 290.0411 through 290.0475, Florida Statutes. The rulemaking will also resolve conflicts between the rule and other sections of Florida Statutes. Finally, the rulemaking will make it easier for local governments to understand the application process, find information related to economic development grants, and know what is required of them if they receive funding.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: The application process, citizen participation, national objectives, eligibility to apply for funds, program categories, special economic development funding, financial management, environmental review, grant administration, program implementation, modifications to grants, closing out grants, and emergency set-aside.
