REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS RFQ 16-001
ARCHITECTURAL CONSULTING SERVICES FOR COMMERCIAL TERMINAL EXPANSION AND IMPROVEMENT
GAINESVILLE REGIONAL AIRPORT
The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority (GACRAA) is seeking qualified consultants to provide Architectural and Engineering Services for design and engineering of expansion and improvements to the Gainesville Regional Airport Commercial Passenger Terminal. Design of the federally and state funded project is scheduled to begin in late 2016 and be completed by April of 2017. The successful proposer will show prior experience in airport terminal design and familiarity with applicable FAA advisory circulars.
Scope of Services: Permitting, design and bid phase services for an expansion of approximately 12,000-19,000 square feet, to be completed over the next 2-5 years, including gate area and restroom expansion, existing restroom improvements, HVAC upgrades, installation of up to two new passenger boarding bridges, rehabilitation of three existing passenger boarding bridges. Installation of a mini-inline baggage screening system, covered common baggage makeup conveyor, replacement of the terminal roof, emergency generator and CCTV work and other misc. improvements are also planned.
Contract for the services shall be valid upon approval by the Authority, The Federal Aviation Administration, and the Florida Department of Transportation and is subject to the Authority’s receipt of a FY 2016 federal grant and Federal Aviation Administration approval of Passenger Facility Charge Application No. 4. GACRAA reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, cancel this RFQ, or reissue this RFQ, with or without changes as determined to be in the best interest of the Airport and the traveling public.

Email requests for the RFQ package will be accepted and are recommended. It is the responsibility of the proposer to verify receipt of their request.
Deadline for submittals is 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Proposals submitted after this time will not be considered. Deadline for inquiries is 5:00 p.m. February 11, 2016. All parties interested in providing these services should cause to be delivered to the Authority’s administrative offices, one original, clearly marked “ORIGINAL” and four copies of the completed Qualification Package to:
