NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on January 6, 2015, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety, received a petition for FSC Becker Business. Petitioner seeks an emergency variance of the requirements of ASME A17.1b, Section 2.20.4, 2.18.5.1, and 2.24.2.1 as adopted by paragraph 61C-5.001(1)(a), F.A.C., that requires the use of a 9.5 mm steel rope and requirement of a metallic sheave which poses a significant economic/financial hardship.
