Notice is hereby given that the Board of Nursing has received a Petition for Declaratory Statement filed by Earl Fowler, on December 23, 2013. The Petitioner seeks a Declaratory Statement from the Board with regard to Chapter 464.003(3)(a) and 464.018(n), Florida Statutes, and seeks the agency’s opinion as it applies to petitioner. The petitioner requests the Board issue a declaratory statement as to whether it is in the course and cope of a Registered Nurse, based on training and experience in specialized Advanced Wound Care, to implement an Advanced Wound Care program to train paramedics to suture lacerations while under the direct supervision and orders of a licensed physician. The board will address this at the next available board meeting.
Except for good cause shown, motions for leave to intervene must be filed within 21 days after the publication of this notice.
