    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Electrical Contractors’ Licensing Board has received the petition for declaratory statement from Michael Gregory on behalf of Guru Alert, LLC filed on November 20, 2014. The petition seeks the agency’s opinion as to the applicability of Sections 489.518 and 489.5185 F.S., as it applies to the petitioner.

    The petition seeks the Board’s interpretation of Sections 489.518 and 489.5185 F.S., as to whether the “Guru” system as described in the petition, would be considered a fire alarm or security system and whether the Board would require licensing for monitoring of security or fire alarm systems if the “Guru” system is found to be a fire alarm or security system. Except for good cause shown, motions for leave to intervene must be filed within 21 days after publication of this notice.
