    68A-20.005: Specific Fish Management Area Regulations
    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of the proposed rule change is to replace the 18 inch minimum length limit on black bass in Hurricane Lake with the 12 inch minimum length limit that is the statewide black bass regulation for this area so that anglers make take smaller sizes of black bass.
    SUMMARY: The proposed rule would reduce the minimum length limit for legal harvest of black bass from 18 inches to 12 inches in total length on Hurricane Lake, Okaloosa County.

    (1) Northwest Region:

    (a) through (c) No change.

    (d) Hurricane Lake, Okaloosa County:

    1. No person shall kill or possess any black bass than 18 inches in total length.

    1.2. The use of boats propelled by gasoline motors is prohibited.

    2.3. Motor vehicles are prohibited on dams, spillways and fishing fingers.

    (e) through (i) No change.

    (2) through (5) No change.

    PROPOSED EFFECTIVE DATE: July 1, 2010.
