On January 5, 2009, Ana M. Viamonte Ros, M.D., M.P.H., State Surgeon General, issued an Order of Emergency Suspension Order with regard to the license of Johann N. Prewett, Ph.D. license number PY 4331. This Emergency Suspension Order was predicated upon the State Surgeon Generals findings of an immediate and serious danger to the public health, safety and welfare pursuant to Sections 456.073(8) and 120.60(6), F.S. The State Surgeon General determined that this summary procedure was fair under the circumstances, in that there was no other method available to adequately protect the public.
