65C-22.001General Requirements
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on January 09, 2024, the Department of Children and Families, received a petition for variance and/or waiver from section 3.5.F of the Child Care Facility Handbook (“Handbook”), which is incorporated by reference in subsection 65C-22.001(6), Florida Administrative Code, from Twin Rivers and Tuskawilla Montessori Academies. Section 3.5.F of the Handbook requires a child care facility’s outdoor play area to have adequate fencing or walls. Fencing, including gates, must be continuous and must not have gaps or opening larger than 3 ½ inches that would allow children to exit the outdoor play area.
