    FAMU Student Housing Phase 1A (FINROCK Construction)

    ·         Description of Project:

    The project is located near the intersection of Wahnish Way and Orange Avenue in Tallahassee, FL on the FAMU campus.  This project consists of two 4-story dormitory student housing facilities towers that approximately 91,000 GSF, 186 units/357 beds per building and includes ground floor Amenity space for a total of 372 units/714 beds. 

    A pre-bid meeting shall be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon at Office of Procurement Services located at 2380 Wahnish Way, Suite 214, Tallahassee, FL  32307.  Please come to this meeting with any questions/comments for the project.

    Our team will be soliciting bids for the following scopes of work:

    ·         Site Demolition/SWPPP Management

    ·         Cast-In-Place Concrete

    ·         Steel Handrails

    ·         Aluminum Canopies

    ·         Casework/Countertops

    ·         Roofing

    ·         Doors, Frames, and Hardware

    ·         Aluminum storefront/window wall systems

    ·         Vinyl Windows

    ·         Tiling

    ·         Vinyl Flooring & Associated Floor Base

    ·         Interior/Exterior Painting

    ·         Interior Signage

    ·         Toilet Accessories/Shelving

    ·         Window Treatments – Vertical Blinds and Roller Shades

    ·         Site work including grading and underground utilities

    ·         Hardscape

    ·         Landscape/Irrigation

    We are planning on breaking ground for Phase 1.A in June 2019 with a turnover completed by July 2020 (in time for the Fall 2020 semester).

    Proposals shall be electronically submitted via email my attention at bdavis@finfrock.com by Wednesday, February 6th, by 5:00 p.m.  This will not be a sealed bid process so the Finfrock team will review bids as they are received.  Please email all RFI’s to my attention via email so that I can respond to all proposers. 

    INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS

    ·         Make sure that you provide a stand-alone price for each of the following (the building are identical for now):

    o   Building H (North)

    o   Building I (South)

    ·         Include additional pricing breakout for each of the above as applicable:

    o   Exterior

    o   Interior including dormitory units, corridors, amenity, and BOH areas

    ·         Include a break out of any allowances

    ·         Contractor initiated VE Alternates

    ·         Provide alternate for PP bond.
