The Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel hereby gives notice: that on January 15, 2019, an Order was filed on the Petition for Variance and Waiver submitted by Angela Maxwell, BS, MT (AMT). The Petition for Variance and Waiver was filed on September 7, 2018, seeking a variance and waiver from paragraph 64B3-5.002(3)(a), F.A.C., which sets forth the education, training/experience and examination required for licensure as a supervisor. The Notice was published in Volume 44, No. 211, of the Florida Administrative Register, on October 29, 2018. The Board, at its meeting held on December 7, 2018, in Howie in the Hills, Florida, voted to deny the Petition for Variance and Waiver finding that the Petitioner did not meet the purpose of the underlying statute by other means and that the application of the rule to Petitioner did not create a substantial hardship or violate the principle of fairness.
