On January 11, 2017, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016, and executed by FHWA and FDOT, granted location and design concept acceptance for the following project: Financial Project Number: 431684-1-22-01.

This project involves a one-mile segment of State Road (S.R.) 30 (U.S. 98) centered at the intersection of S.R. 30 (U.S. 98) and Airey Avenue/Tyndall Drive in an unincorporated portion of Bay County on federal land of Tyndall Air Force Base. The proposed improvements consider a Single Point Urban Interchange on U.S. 98 at Tyndall Drive/Airey Avenue to separate Tyndall Air Force Base traffic from through traffic, and an overpass to improve on-base traffic flow at U.S. 98 and Louisiana Avenue.
