    The Florida Department of Transportation, District 2 announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: January 28, 2016, 4:30 p.m.

    PLACE: Newberry Municipal Building, 25440 W. Newberry Road, Newberry, Florida 32669

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: This meeting is being held to afford interested persons the opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, social, economic and environmental effects of Financial Project ID: 207850-2, otherwise known as SR 26 Project Development & Environmental (PD&E) Study, in Newberry, Florida. The Department is evaluating an alternative to provide a one-way pair system. The one-way pair system would begin at NW 264th Street, west of downtown Newberry and end near the park & ride lot east of US 41. State Road 26 (W. Newberry Rd) would become a one-way eastbound street, with two 12ft. travel lanes, a bicycle lane on the south side of street and on-street parking on the north side of the street. NW 1st Avenue would become a one-way westbound street, with two 11 ft. travel lanes and a bicycle lane on the north side of the street. The proposed improvements also include the consideration of a roundabout at CR 337. Public participation is sought without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability or family status.
