    6A-14.095Site Determined Baccalaureate Access

    PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To update components of the Florida College System baccalaureate approval process in order to increase the consistency of information collected, reduce redundancy and provide greater clarity for institutions. Additionally, the rule amendment incorporates a new accountability report form that will replace the existing form. The new form includes requests for data and information the Florida Department of Education will use to inform the annual audit identified in s. 1003.491(5), F.S. The effect is incorporating revised forms for the notice of intent, program proposal and annual accountability report. Additionally, non-substantive technical changes will be made to rule language.

    SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Section 1007.33, F.S., outlines the requirements for FCS institutions to seek State Board of Education approval to offer new baccalaureate programs and this rule further defines the approval process. Proposed revisions include the incorporation of new notice of intent, proposal and annual accountability report forms currently incorporated in the rule.
