    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: FDOT will hold a public hearing to provide information about the recommended improvements to US 41 from Ringling Boulevard to Main Street. The hearing begins with an open house at 5:00 p.m. and follows with a formal presentation and public comment period at 6:00 p.m. People attending the hearing can review project displays and speak one-on-one with project team members. Written statements or exhibits submitted at the hearing, emailed, or mailed and postmarked by Monday, February 11, 2019, will become part of the official hearing transcript.

    The department sent notices to all property owners located within 300 feet on either side of the US 41 project limits, as well as any other interested persons. The meeting is developed in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes. FDOT solicits public participation without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pursuant to 23 U.S.C. §327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016 and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.
