The Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Hotels and Restaurants, Bureau of Elevator Safety hereby gives notice: On January 23, 2019, the Division issued an order. The Final Order was in response to a Petition for a permanent Variance from Florida Hospital Memorial d/b/a Medical Center, filed November 8, 2018, and advertised on November 13, 2018 in Vol. 44, No.221, of the Florida Administrative Register. No comments were received in response to the petition. The Final Order on the Petition for Variance grants the Petitioner a variance from the fire service access elevator requirements of Section 3007, 6th Edition Florida Building Code (effective December 31, 2017) because the Petitioner has demonstrated that the purpose of the underlying statute has been met and that Petitioner would suffer a substantial hardship if required to comply with this rule (VW 2018-236).
