Professional Planning/Engineering Services Related To
Transit Bus Queue Study at Various Locations throughout Lee County

The Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), request Letters of Interest from professional firms to provide planning/engineering and design services for a Transit Bus Queue Study. The purpose of this study is to conduct a bus queue jump study that will screen an initial list of congested intersections for potential queue jumps in the US 41 Corridor from Coconut Road in South Lee County to Shell Point Factory in North Fort Myers. It is the intent of the Board to enter into contract negotiations with one firm.

It is a basic tenet of the MPO’s contracting program that contracts are procured in a fair, open, and competitive manner. By submitting a Letter of Interest, the Consultant certifies that they are in compliance with FDOT Procedure No. 375-030-006, Restriction on Consultant’s Eligibility to Compete for Department Contracts. This directive is available on FDOT’s website.
This project is federally funded with assistance from the Florida Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration. By submitting a Letter of Interest, the Consultant certifies that no principal (which includes officers, directors, or executives) is presently suspended, proposed for debarment, declared ineligible or voluntarily excluded from participation on this contract by any federal department or agency.
In addition, by submitting a Letter of Interest, the Consultant affirms that it is FDOT prequalified in the following work categories: Group 3 Highway Design -Roadway, Group 6. Traffic Engineering and Operations Studies, Group 13. Planning
Submittals must be delivered to the Lee MPO at the address below no later than 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 3rd, 2014, in order to be considered. All submittals must be in sealed envelopes reflecting on the outside thereof “Submittal for Transit Bus Queue Study: FPN: 430884-1-18-01, LOI: MPO 2014-002
