    The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: February 23, 2016, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., ET

    PLACE: City of Key Colony Beach – City Hall, 600 West Ocean Drive, Key Colony Beach, Florida 33051

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is holding a workshop to gather public input on management of sea anemones. Specifically, the FWC will be providing an update on recent research conducted to investigate the potential recovery of the giant Caribbean sea anemone (Condylactis gigantea) population and gathering public comments about management of this species which was closed to harvest on Nov. 1, 2012, as well as other species of anemones and Ricordea currently managed by the FWC. Anyone with an interest in management of sea anemones in Florida is encouraged to attend.
