    The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

    DATE AND TIME: Tuesday, February 4, 2020, Open house, 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m.

    PLACE: Sanborn Activity Center, 815 S. Alabama Ave., DeLand, FL 32724

    GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public meeting regarding proposed drainage improvements on North Woodland Boulevard (State Road (S.R.) 15/U.S. 17-92) from Mandarin Avenue to East Kentucky Avenue. Proposed improvements consist of adding drainage inlets, adding underground drainage pipes along the median of North Woodland Boulevard and Mandarin Avenue, relocating utilities, and repaving North Woodland Boulevard and Mandarin Avenue within the project limits. While construction will require intermittent lane closures and a temporary detour, a 12-foot outside travel lane in each direction will be maintained during construction on North Woodland Boulevard. The temporary detour will utilize East Parkdale Ave, North Alabama Ave, and East South St.

    The public meeting will be Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Sanborn Activity Center, located at 815 S. Alabama Ave., DeLand, FL 32724. The informational open house takes place from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. where attendees will have an opportunity to review project displays, speak with project team members, and watch a short video presentation that will run on a continuous loop. There will not be a formal presentation.

    Written comments can be submitted at the meeting, mailed to Naziru Isaac, Florida Department of Transportation, 719 S. All written and oral comments will become part of the project’s public record.
