    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Department of Business and Professional Regulation has received the petition for declaratory statement from Progressive Community Management, Inc. The petition seeks the agencys opinion as to the applicability of Section 718.111(1)(a), Florida Statutes, as it applies to the petitioner.

    The petition seeks answers to (i) whether Petitioner, a community association management firm, may receive commissions or other compensation from insurance agencies or insurers on insurance policies written for the condominium associations that Petitioner manages, and (ii) if Petitioner creates or acquires an insurance agency with which it is then corporately affiliated, whether the affiliated insurance agency may receive commissions or other compensation shared with it by the insurance agencies or insurers placing insurance policies for the condominium associations that Petitioner manages. Progressive Community Management, Inc.s petition was filed with the agency clerk on January 22, 2014.
