The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has determined that the City of Stuart’s project involving the installation of approximately 1.4 miles of water distribution piping, fire hydrants, and appurtenances to connect about 150 contaminated residential wells to the City's water supply is not expected to generate controversy over potential environmental effects. The total estimated construction cost is $965,835. The project may qualify for a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan composed of federal and state funds. DEP will consider public comments about the environmental impacts of the proposed projects that are postmarked or delivered at the address below within 30 days of this notice. A copy of the FCEN can be obtained by writing to: Greg Alfsen, DEP, 3900 Commonwealth Blvd., MS 3505, Tallahassee, Florida 32399‑3000, or calling (850)245-2983 or emailing Gregory.Alfsen@dep.state.fl.us.
