DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL REGULATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Cosmetology has issued an order granting the petition for declaratory statement filed by Sheynell Romero on December 20, 2019. On September 18, 2019, Petitioner inquired as to whether she may perform full body waxing and sugaring, inclusive of all sensitive areas, without such acts constituting a violation of Chapter 477 and/or 455, Florida Statutes.
The Notice of Petition for Declaratory Statement was published in Vol. 45, No. 191, on October 1, 2019, in the Florida Administrative Register. The Board, at its meeting held on October 14, 2019, voted to grant the Petition for Declaratory Statement finding that Petitioner may perform full body waxing and sugaring, including all sensitive areas, without such acts constituting a violation of subsection 477.029(1) or subsection 455.227(1), Florida Statutes.
